Libyan Returnees Urged To Access Oshiomhole’s Rehabilitation Agric Loans
BENIN CITY - Survivals from the war torn Libya in Benin City, Edo State, at the weekend called on the Federal government to urgently commence negotiation with the new transition government in Libya with a view to freeing detained Nigerians languishing in various jail, in the North African Country, just as the group called on returnees to embrace the agriculture loan scheme of the Edo State government
The returnees who converged in Benin at a Public Symposium organized under the aegis of ‘United Returnees Foundation’ (URF) raises fear that Nigerians in Libyan jails are secretly killed on a daily basis said government must act fast to save the lives of it’s citizens trapped in the Country.
Speaking at the symposium, the President of the group, Solomon Okoduwa, in an address titled ‘the role of Nigerian Returnees in Nation Building’ said the group is involved in discouraging youths on the need to join the government in nation building, rather than seeking greener pasture abroad that never existed, he also commended Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s agricultural loans to the returnees.
“I want to call on our sisters and brothers who migrated legally or illegally in search of greener pasture in Europe and elsewhere to come and take the advantage of this opportunity that is presently given by the present administration in the area of agricultural training /take off loan”, he said.
RED FACTOR says; Nice idea but I do think this Government is out of ideas and out of touch. Why only agriculture. This Government does not know how to create modern jobs and is not reaching out. Its not a bad Government considering what we've had but it looks too much like a dictator. Oshiomhole its time to get in touch with the youths. If you are struggling, put a call in to red factor.
